However, she had no one to finance her college education, a setback that nearly made her give up.
“When my sister who was keeping me died in 2021, things became so tough, I started staying with a friend of my late sister,” she revealed.
The loss of her sister left her feeling lost, but she refused to be a victim of circumstance.
To achieve this, she chose a path less travelled for a young woman of her generation: becoming a house girl.
“My sister was going to pay for my college, but that was shattered by her death, so I became a maid to save for school,” she narrated.
Robina underpinned that she is proud to be a maid instead of sleeping around to get money.
Every penny saved brought her closer to her dream.
Her diligence and perseverance paid off as she saved enough to establish a small mobile money booth.
The business is a stepping stone towards financial independence and, ultimately, college.
She also disclosed that she has plans to start farming in order to earn extra income.
During her free time, the young woman enjoys visiting street children and putting smiles on their faces.
What sets Robina apart is her willingness to work hard and her refusal to compromise her integrity for the sake of convenience.
