“The truth will set you free, if you do not tell the truth about yourself you cannot tell it about other people. Honesty is the first chapter in the book of Wisdom. Thanks, president for being honest and suspending the appointment of CAS until a time we have enough resources,” she said.
Kenyans react to Mwenesi’s response
Her reaction has generated responses from Kenyans who claimed the stance was unconstitutional.
Isabela Mulwale said:
“It’s constitutional that this office is illegal. Thanks to the Gen Z for the pressure. You’ve been receiving money illegally.”
Mudegu Stanley responded:
“It is not about until when we have resources but it is about respecting the constitution. Hizo viti haziko kwa katiba.”
Maryanne Smith advised:
“Now refund all the salaries you have been receiving. That would be more honesty.”
Jackson Swadi Swadi said:
“God’s time is the best mheshimiwa, and I believe better things are coming soon. Our God is great and faithful to us.”
Tom Omongo posed:
“Suspension is not enough we expect abolishment, what roles do such positions help Kenya rather than burdening the common man?”
Jackson Imbuga advised:
“Things will be OK, if a door is closed God will open wider windows.”
Zacharia Omari said:
“Let them return the salaries they have been receiving.”
Franklin Chunguli commented:
“We have more than enough resources but they are being mismanaged like the cost of renovating a house being more than the cost of constructing the same house, and creating positions that are unconstitutional to gobble up the resources available at the expense of critical services.”
