Kisumu – One person has been killed and three others injured following a tragic accident at the Coptic roundabout in Mamboleo.
How did Kisumu accident happen
According to witnesses at the accident scene, the lorry transporting Shibe maize flour lost control while on the steep hill.
The lorry reportedly veered off the road and plunged into the ditch, pouring packets of floor on the road.
Residents milled around the area, joining in rescue efforts as others tried to make away with flour.
A spot check at the scene showed the severity of the accident, as the truck’s head and carriage were detached.
Is Mamboleo roundabout a black spot
In April, an Easy Coach bus ferrying students from Chavakali Boys High School to Nairobi was involved in an accident at the now black spot.
A student at the scene said they had closed school and had boarded the bus from school heading to Nairobi for the holidays.
Pastor John Pesa denies causing accidents
Separately, Holy Ghost Coptic Church of Kenya founder Father John Juma Pesa addressed rumours linking him to a notorious accident-prone area near his church.
In a trending video, Father Pesa denied the claims, asserting that he cannot be responsible for road accidents.
He explained that the poorly constructed roundabout near his church was the actual cause of the accidents.
Furthermore, he emphasised that causing harm to people through accidents would be counterproductive, as it would diminish his followers.
