Raila Odinga Condemns Goons Who Used Protests to Loot, Assault Kenyans: “Arrest Them”

NairobiAzimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga has called for the arrest of goons who terrorised Kenyans during protests.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 3, Raila said even though he condemns the police for using excessive force, he equally rebukes people who looted shops.

The ODM leader said criminals used the demonstrations called by Generation Z to rain terror on other Kenyans

“In the same breath, we condemn the scenes we saw on our television screens and which people witnessed and experienced in their neighbourhoods across the country at the hands of criminals posing as protesters.

I extend deep sympathy to the families who’ve suffered in the hands of looters posing as Gen Z protesters. innocent people who’ve seen their business premises broken into, their products looted and who now face the reality of being worse off than before the protests,” Raila said.
