Uasin Gishu county – Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi says he would not be partaking in funds drive in the coming days.
President William Ruto had earlier banned public servants from participating in harambees following anti-government protests.
In a press briefing on Friday, July 5, the head of state barred state officers from making public contributions.
Ruto further directed Attorney General (AG) Justin Muturi to develop a legal framework to guide structured and transparent contributions for philanthropic endeavours.
