Njeri, who was captured selling maize in the evening, has finally joined her new luxurious school as promised.

The Thika Member of Parliament Alice Ng’ang’a had promised to enrol her in an international school.

Barely a day after the hearing announcement, Njeri, who was selling maize in her school uniform, has a fresh start.

“Glory be to God, our beautiful girl Baby Njeri is now in a boarding school at Westridge School. Once she leaves school, there will be no selling of maize. Jehovah, you’re wonderful ❤️,” read the Facebook post.

In the viral post, Njeri, also sought after by comedian Eric Omondi, looked stunning in her new school uniform.

Njeri stood next to a well-wisher who had reached out to her and helped her get support from Kenyans.

She joined the top-tier school the well-wisher’s son attended, ready to kickstart her education journey.

The news was warmly received by many who flocked to the comment section to celebrate the new beginnings.

Similarly, Embakasi MP Babu Owino expressed his desire to help the little girl who sold maize on a dusty road.

The politician said he could resonate with Neri’s plight, recalling his childhood days when he had to work to support his family.

He said he used to sell chang’aa and use the little he earned from the business to cater to home needs.
