Kiambu: 4 Suspects who Torched, Looted Kikuyu CDF Offices Arrested

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has announced the arrest of four suspects for looting and torching CDF offices in Kikuyu constituency.

How were the suspects apprehended?

According to the DCI, four suspects allegedly involved in the arson incident at CDF offices were nabbed, and several items were recovered from their residences.

The DCI reported that a 32-inch TV set was recovered from the residence of Samuel Muiri Ruiyi, a 28-year-old driver at a primary school in the Nderi area.

Upon being apprehended, Muiri guided the officers to his accomplice Samuel Wanjohi, 23, who possessed another 32-inch Sony TV from the CDF offices.

“A 16-year-old form three boy from a Kabete school was also among those arrested after he was captured on CCTV footage disappearing with a Bluetooth speaker. The speaker was also recovered,”the statement read in part.

In the Rironi area of Limuru, Paul Kuria Njenga, 23, was arrested for stealing equipment, which he subsequently sold to unsuspecting buyers in Kitengela.

The suspects await arraignment at the Kiambu Law Courts.
