A video shared on X has shown a Kenyan police officer deployed in Haiti speaking with a journalist.

The officer was part of the first 400 contingents sent to the Caribbean country to deal with gang-related violence.

He was seen patrolling outside the United States Embassy with his colleagues.

“What is nakupenda in Kiswahili,” the man behind the camera asked.

“It means I love you,” the officer responded.
