Maranda Alumni Demanded Release of McOure
In another story, Maranda High School Alumni Association (MAHISAA) stood with Kasmuel McOure after he was allegedly abducted.
At the trying time of the young man’s life, the association called for the unconditional release of their member, Kasmuel, who was abducted during anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests.
McOure, also known as Kaskazini, was allegedly taken by suspected security officers on June 25, according to the association.
MAHISAA emphasised that McOure was been detained incommunicado without being presented to a court, violating constitutional timelines.
The association urged Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome to expedite Kasmuel’s release and criticised arbitrary arrests that undermine freedom of speech and human rights.
