A woman whose car was vandalised during Finance Bill 2024 protests in Eldoret town has forgiven the perpetrators of the crime.

How did Eldoret woman’s car get burnt?

In a TikTok video shared by @alimwem.ke, the woman was shown holding a bible and standing beside the car that was burnt to ashes.

“I leave vengeance to whoever; that is where my strength is coming from. So many people have reached out thinking I was down, but the word of the Lord has given me strength,” she said.

The humble lady also sympathised with other people who lost their properties and told them to hang in there.

“Government please listen to the youth, some us educated them through parallel programs and it was painful. We expected them to get something and earn a loiving,” she said.

People who lost properties in Finance Bill protests

In another story, the anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests left many businesses in a state of loss after protesters vandalised shops and destroyed properties.

President William Ruto estimated the loss at KSh 2.4 billion of properties looted and destroyed during the protests.

However, Nairobi Youth Business Community noted that it went up to KSh 3 billion, warning that it could lead to loss of jobs.
