The officer was part of the first 400 contingents sent to the Caribbean country to deal with gang-related violence.

He was seen patrolling outside the United States Embassy with his colleagues.

“What is nakupenda in Kiswahili,” the man behind the camera asked.

The man then asked the officer if he knew how to speak English despite responding in the language moments earlier, and he affirmed.

The interviewer then asked how the cop felt going on the mission, and he said it wasn’t bad.

“We are here to bring peace and not fight,” the cop said.

“Do you like Haitian girls?” the man behind the camera asked.

The officer seemed unimpressed by the change in the line of questioning.

“I am not here for girls, man. You are losing track,” the officer professionally responded.

The interaction elicited mixed reactions on social media, with Kenyans noticing how alert the officer and his colleagues were.
