Jacinta Achieng’ had shared her Kennedy Onyango’s ‘business’ when he met with his death untimely.

The talented 12-year-old boy had several gunshot wounds that led to his death on Tuesday, June 25.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, his grieving mother said her son had stepped out of the house at 4pm.

“He had just left for a book at a classmate’s house because they had homework. His friend had been the first to do the homework, so he could go for the book and do it later. He was the type of child who could not stay out that late. It was heading to 7pm, and he wasn’t yet home,” she said.

What time was Kennedy killed?

Achieng’ said she was getting worried because three hours after her son left home, he had yet to return home.

She said the mother of her son’s classmate came to her home saying that Kennedy had shown up at their home.

She added her son was crying back home because his friend and classmate Kennedy had not visited yet.

“Little did I know that he’d been killed at 4pm. He didn’t even get to where he was going when he left. I was at home eating, yet my child had already been taken to the mortuary,” she cried.

How did Kennedy’s parents learn of his death?

In a related story, Achieng’ and her husband, Michael Ouma Odero, opened up about the painful way they learned about the death of their boy.

The heartbroken couple said they found out about the Grade 8 pupil’s death at Ongata Rongai Primary School via social media.

Achieng said she was shown a TikTok video of her boy in a motorbike after being shot and being rushed to the hospital.
