How did TikTokers remember late loved ones?

Kickstarted by TikToker Trina after posting about losing her mother, Kenyans have reflected on loss and mortality.

Many who reacted to Trina’s touching tribute expressed sorrow as they narrated how their kin died and how it impacted their lives.

They humorously celebrated the memories of their loved ones by disclosing how they were dearly missed.

“My mum slept and forgot to breathe. Very lazy woman. I miss her,” wrote Trina.

Reacting to the post, a section of netizens said the trend was timely since it provided a healthy space for grief. For others, the trend was morbid and distasteful.

Who is Sarah Gwan?

The sweet tributes come hot on the heels of lamentations by Sarah Gwan’s mother, Mary Wanjiru, that the late vixen was abandoned in death by friends.

Wanjiru said Gwan’s friends who were with her before she allegedly fell from an apartment in the Kasarani area had yet to reach out.

Gwan allegedly fell from a second-floor balcony on June 25 and died while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
