A video of Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara calling out Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura for failing to attend an interview has gone viral.
Yvonne’s The Explainer has attracted many government officials over the years, and her hard-hitting interview questions have always impressed Kenyans.
The journalist in her Tuesday, July 3rd bulletin revealed that she was to host Mwaura as he had requested the media company for a slot in the news segment.
“Here at The Explainer, we had every intention of hosting the government spokesperson Mr Isaac Mwaura. This interview was at his request. Which came late this afternoon, early evening.”
Yvonne revealed that they had granted him the space to talk about the situation in the country, and he failed to show up.
“We granted his request for an interview in The Explainer tonight, and this person chooses not to be here to be here to speak to the situation in the country? The Explainer must go on,” she said.
